Last night I headed out to meet my friend, and fellow Atlanta family photographer Lindsey Powell Photography, to do some shopping for our clients.

This time of year we both hear over and over that they hardest part of family photos is putting together outfits. In 20 minutes we shopped our local Old Navy, and put together 2 complete family of 4 outfits that are perfect for a fall family photo session!

We both started our favorite way, and the way I always tell my clients to, we chose Mom’s outfit first then built around it. We tried to pick out a mix of outfits that included dresses, as well as cozy sweaters and jeans. We kept the pallets neutral, with a pop of color, and some different textures to add interest.
