This little family came up to meet me at beautiful Barrington Hall for a fun family photo session! I love this location. The gardens are gorgeous, and the big columns and steps up to the house are perfect for family shoots. Here are a few of my favorites!!

Motherhood, mommy & me, just the girls sessions, whatever you want to call them, I adore them! These two especially! I have been very fortunate to have photographed them a few times, and enjoy our sessions each and every time. Again, it’s fun to watch the little one grow and change with each session.

Here are some of my favorites from this sweet summer session! We headed to the lake again and the sunset was just perfect!

This One Goes Out to the Mama's

One of the best parts of my job is getting to capture motherhood!! From the first hours in the hospital, to watching them prepare for a new stage in life after high school, I love being a part of capturing it.

At each session I always grab a few shots of just mom and her babies. I always hope that these are pictures that will be passed down for many generations, and that you and your children look back at them and smile at all the happy memories you made.

To all the mom's out there, thank you for letting me be a part of your special moments, and allowing me to create something beautiful for you and your children to hold on to. Hope you have a very happy Mother's Day filled with love, and maybe some peace and quiet ;)

I was so excited when this family called me to do an extended family session. I love the energy I get from working with big families! This was to be Grandma's Christmas present. They are a big family and are scattered on each coast so getting together for the holidays is so special to them. The son whom I spoke with, told me that last year they attempted to get a family picture using cell phones, but it just didn't go as planned. This year they really wanted to gift his Mom/Grandma with the gift of professional family portraits, which she can cherish and use to show off her wonderful group of children and grand children!

Back again for part 2 of this family's photos! You can view part 1 here.

It was quite the event getting our second round of family photos done, we just couldn't get our schedules to line up! But, the universe had something in mind! Just a few days before, the skies opened up and dumped over 7 inches of snow on us here in Georgia! It was so beautiful and I was so fortunate some of it stuck around for this session!

I met Lauren, the mom of this family, while working on a project with the Roswell Women's Club this summer. She was such a delight to work with, and I was so excited when she contacted me to take pictures of her active, spunky, and energetic family!

She wanted some pictures for their Christmas cards, but most importantly some pictures of her with the boys since she's usually the one behind the camera! I hear this story entirely too often, and it's something I have to remind myself of as well!

You might be wondering why this session has 2 parts. It's not that it was a really long session I had to split in half because we got SO MANY pictures! Quite the opposite actually. We headed out to Scottsdale Farms the morning after Thanksgiving for a shoot in their Christmas trees. The have the cutest setup with their real trees, and inside the shop are so many fun and unique finds. I can't wait to take some more clients to this location!

As I was saying, we arrived when the place opened and started of really great! Lots of smiles and fun, but that only lasted about 10 minutes before this sweet little girl was just done, and did not want to take any pictures. I tried to pull out all my favorite tricks, but she just wasn't having it. So I told the family we could reschedule for another day. I did get some great pictures of them, but the overachiever in me just know I could get more!

While I can do everything I can to tell you how to prepare for the session, and how to prepare your children, sometimes life happens. I'm first and foremost a mom, I get it! I do everything I can before, during, and after our session to deliver you images that you and your family will love for a very long time! I will not always be able to accommodate your family for a re-shoot, but if there is a good reason I will do my best.

This was one of the very first families I had the pleasure of photographing when I started my business! You can view that session here!

At the time I took their last photos mom was pregnant with their little girl, so it was just the four of them. I was so excited to finally meet their little girl, who was just all smiles for our session. The boys were so sweet with her, it was really fun to watch. Dad wasn't able to make it to the session so I mainly just focused on the kiddos, and am looking forward to getting all 5 of them in front of my camera this spring!

The weekend I was scheduled to take this families pictures the weather kept doing this dance of being sunny on minute, then rainy the next! The forecast the night before said it wasn't going to rain the morning of our session so we decided to head out. Of course that morning, the sky decided to do a different dance! We headed out anyway and thankfully the rain stopped while we were out shooting! We all really loved the overcast, foggy morning, and the look it gave to the photos! Reminded all of us of Scotland.

You'll see that we were on the go a lot this session. When I am a shooting session with toddlers that is usually the case. I just go with it though and try to catch all their fast and happy faces!! If there is one thing I can tell parents of toddlers, is that I don't expect them to sit still at the session. Yes we will try to get that "Christmas Card shot" but sometimes it doesn't happen. What does happen with child led sessions, is a lot of images of happy faces that capture your child's personality.
